Today, January 8, border communities in the Sumy region, in particular Kucherivka, Studenok, Belaya Bereza, Ryzhevka and Neskuchnoye, came under enemy artillery fire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Severo-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks. The enemy also launched 51 attacks on Defense Forces positions and populated areas, including from multiple launch rocket systems.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Five attacks by Russian forces have been recorded in the South Slobozhansky direction, three of which are ongoing. Fighting is taking place in the areas of Burgovatka, Vilcha, and Figolovka.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attempted one offensive toward Kupyansk but was stopped. In the Liman direction, Russian troops attacked three times near Drobyshevo and Stavki, with two clashes still ongoing.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

No enemy activity has been detected in the Slavyansk and Kramatorsk offensive sectors. Meanwhile, in the Konstantinovka sector, the enemy conducted eight assaults in the areas of Aleksandro-Shultino, Pleshcheyevka, Ivanopol, Rusiny Yar, and Sofiyivka.<\/p>\n

The most intense fighting continues in the Pokrovsk area. Here, Russian troops have launched 18 attacks near Nikanorovka, Krasny Liman, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Kotliny, Udachny, Molodetsky, Filial, and Dachny. Defense forces have already repelled 16 of these attacks.<\/p>\n

In the Aleksandrivske direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped three enemy assaults, and three more clashes are ongoing.<\/p>\n

Ten battles took place in the Hulyai-Polye area near Sladkoye, Hulyai-Polye, and Varvarovka, two of which are ongoing. The enemy also carried out airstrikes on Yulyivka, Rozhdestvenskoye, Gorky, Verkhnyaya Tersa, Lyubitskoye, and Zheleznodorozhny.<\/p>\n

No offensive actions were recorded in the Orekhov area. In the Dnieper area, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to approach Defense Forces positions near the Antonovsky Bridge.<\/p>\n
