In Kryvyi Rih, as a result of a combined missile and drone attack by the Russian Federation, the number of victims has increased to 17 people, including three children.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced by<\/a> the chairman of the city’s Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul.<\/p>\n

According to Vilkul, in the evening, Russian forces carried out a combined missile and drone attack on Kryvyi Rih<\/a> . Two Iskander-M ballistic missiles hit a residential area.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As of now, 17 victims are known. Among them are three children and eight women. 15 injured are in city hospitals. One man is in serious condition, another is in extremely serious condition. The remaining victims have moderate injuries. Medics are providing all necessary assistance.<\/p>\n

A rescue operation is underway in the city. Emergency services and utility crews are working on the scene.<\/p>\n

As a result of the shelling, 29 multi-storey residential buildings were damaged. According to Vilkul, about ten of them suffered very serious damage, one house was actually destroyed. Damage was also recorded to up to ten business facilities and cars. In addition to residential buildings, an infrastructure facility was hit.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The strikes left 115,823 customers without power. Previously, 161,000 consumers were without power, but 45,177 of them have already been switched to alternative lines. Half of the city is currently running on generators.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Four large boiler houses, which provide heat to about 1,400 homes, remain without electricity. The boiler house of the Southern Mining and Processing Plant is operating. The authorities plan to restore heat supply to all 335 homes that depend on this system by morning.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A headquarters for assistance to the victims has been set up in Kryvyi Rih. Necessary construction materials have been delivered to the city. Applications for material assistance are also being accepted – as of now, 16 applications have been submitted. The headquarters will be open all night and the next day.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Russia shelled the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions<\/a> . As a result of the prolonged and massive attack, emergency power outages were introduced. <\/p>\n
