The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published<\/a> operational information as of 8 a.m. on January 9, 2026 regarding the Russian invasion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In total , 161 combat clashes<\/strong> were recorded over the past 24 hours. Over the past 24 hours, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two areas of concentration of personnel and one enemy UAV control point.<\/p>\n

According to updated information, yesterday the invaders carried out two missile and 30 air strikes, used three missiles and dropped 126 guided bombs. In addition, they used 6,482 kamikaze drones to strike and carried out 4,042 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, including 160 from multiple rocket launchers.<\/p>\n

Air strikes were carried out, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Yulivka, Rizdvyanka, Hirke, Verkhnia Tersa, Lyubytske, Dorozhnyanka, and Zaliznychne in Zaporizhia region; Zatoka in Odessa region.<\/p>\n

Three clashes took place in the North Slobozhansk<\/strong> and Kursk<\/strong> directions over the past day. The enemy launched 122 attacks, including nine from multiple launch rocket systems.<\/p>\n

In the South Slobozhansky<\/strong> direction, our troops stopped six enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Burguvatka, Vilcha, and Figolivka.<\/p>\n

Six attacks by the invaders took place in the Kupyansk<\/strong> direction yesterday. Our defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the direction of Kupyansk, Kurylivka, Petropavlivka, and Novaya Kruglyakivka.<\/p>\n

In the Lyman<\/strong> direction, the enemy attacked 10 times, trying to penetrate our defenses in the direction of the settlements of Drobysheve, Lyman, Stavky, and in the Novoselivka area.<\/p>\n

In the Slavyansk<\/strong> direction, the Defense Forces repelled four enemy attacks near Siversk, Dronivka, and Fedorivka.<\/p>\n

The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Kramatorsk<\/strong> direction.<\/p>\n

In the Kostyantynivka<\/strong> direction, the enemy carried out 18 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillya, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka and in the direction of Stepanivka.<\/p>\n

In the Pokrovsky<\/strong> direction, our defenders stopped 33 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Nikanorivka, Chervonyi Liman, Rodynske, Myrnograd, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya, Dachne.<\/p>\n

In the Oleksandrivka<\/strong> direction, the enemy yesterday carried out 13 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Verbovye, Vyshneve, Zlagoda, Rybne, Yehorivka, Sichneve and in the directions of the settlements of Ivanivka and Oleksandrovka.<\/p>\n

In the Hulyaipole<\/strong> direction, the Defense Forces repelled 21 Russian attacks in the areas of the settlements of Solodke, Hulyaipole, and in the Varvarivka area.<\/p>\n

In the Orikhiv<\/strong> direction last day, our soldiers repelled one enemy attack in the area of Maly Shcherbaky.<\/p>\n

In the Dnieper<\/strong> direction, Ukrainian units repelled three Russian attacks in the direction of the Antoniv Bridge.<\/p>\n

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn<\/strong> and Polissya<\/strong> directions.<\/p>\n

It is worth adding that in total, the losses of the Russian invaders over the past day amounted to 1,030 people<\/a> . Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized five tanks, eight armored combat vehicles, 18 artillery systems, 687 unmanned aerial vehicles of the operational-tactical level, and 90 units of automotive equipment of the invaders.<\/p>\n
