On the night of January 9, the enemy struck peaceful settlements in the Kyiv region. The attack resulted in fires, damage to housing and infrastructure, and there were casualties, including a child in serious condition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced<\/a> by the head of the Kyiv OVA, Mykola Kalashnyk.<\/p>\n

It is noted that the consequences of the night attack were recorded in 5 districts of the Kyiv region. The Brovary district suffered the most.<\/p>\n

In the Brovary<\/strong> district, two private residential buildings caught fire due to shelling. Rescuers rescued three adults and a 5-year-old child from the rubble. All victims of combustion poisoning were hospitalized. The condition of the adults is assessed as mild, the child is in serious condition in intensive care. An 18-year-old boy was also injured, receiving a cut wound to his forearm; he was treated on the spot.<\/p>\n

In addition, fires and damage to private homes, garages, cars, production and storage facilities, as well as the capacities of an industrial enterprise were recorded. The blast wave damaged apartments in an apartment building. All fires have been extinguished.<\/p>\n

A private house in the Vyshgorod<\/strong> district was damaged. The fence was destroyed, windows were broken, and the roof and facade were damaged.<\/p>\n

A fire in a private residential building and a fire in a farm’s storage facilities were recorded in the Obukhiv<\/strong> district. Structural elements of the buildings were damaged.<\/p>\n

In the Boryspil<\/strong> district, 3 private residential buildings were damaged. The blast wave broke out windows and doors. Also, fragments of an enemy drone fell on the territory of the hospital, there were no injuries.<\/p>\n

In the Buchansky<\/strong> district, 2 apartment buildings were damaged as a result of the attack.<\/p>\n

In total, 5 people were injured in the night attack, including one child.<\/p>\n

As of this morning, more than 370,000 consumers remain without electricity due to the enemy attack and difficult weather conditions. About 200 emergency teams of power engineers are working intensively to restore the networks. Specialists plan to restore electricity to most subscribers within the day.<\/p>\n

“I sincerely thank the rescuers, medics, police, energy workers, utility workers – everyone who was on duty this night and morning and saved people’s lives. I ask residents of the region not to ignore air raid sirens and protect themselves and their loved ones,” said Mykola Kalashnyk.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that on the night of January 9, Lviv region was hit by a missile strike<\/a> , which hit a critical infrastructure facility. After the attack, fires and gas supply disruptions were recorded in some areas of the region, and data on the use of the Oreshnik missile is being clarified. Subsequently, videos of the alleged moment of arrival and the consequences of the strike appeared on the network<\/a> , while the official identification of the type of missile is still ongoing.<\/p>\n

By the way, on the night of January 9, Kyiv was subjected to a massive combined attack by enemy UAVs<\/a> , which damaged residential buildings and infrastructure in several areas of the city. According to official information, 4 people were killed, and dozens of residents and emergency workers were injured.<\/p>\n
