As a result of the strike by the Russian medium-range ballistic missile “Oreshnik” in the Lviv region, only two concrete floors were damaged, and a complete collection of Vladimir Lenin’s works was burned.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> electronic warfare specialist Sergei Flesh.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to him, the strike was not intended to cause widespread destruction. He believes the attack was more of a demonstrative signal to Europe \u2013 a testament to Russia’s capabilities and resolve. This is precisely why, according to Flesh, the western region of Ukraine was chosen for the strike.<\/p>\n

“To clarify the impact energy we’re talking about: the missile only penetrated two floor slabs and burned Lenin’s complete works inside the building. Russian propaganda outlets’ claims of ‘depth strikes’ tens of meters into the ground are untrue,” he noted.<\/p>\n

Flash emphasized that he was making these conclusions without preempting official comments, but called for a critical approach to Russian propaganda statements.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of January 9, the Lviv region suffered a missile strike<\/a> , which damaged a critical infrastructure facility. Following the attack, fires and gas supply disruptions were reported in some areas of the region. Video footage subsequently surfaced online<\/a> of the probable moment of impact and the aftermath of the strike, attributed to the use of a Russian Oreshnik ballistic missile.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Russian government sources claimed the strike was carried out by an Oreshnik ballistic missile in “response” to the alleged attack on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residence. Official Ukrainian sources have not yet confirmed the use of this type of missile. <\/p>\n

In response, Ukraine will appeal to its international partners<\/a> to demand an immediate response to Russia’s use of a medium-range ballistic missile against the Lviv region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that the Kremlin claims it used an Oreshnik-type missile, and Moscow’s attempts to justify the attack with a fictitious “attack on Putin’s residence” are yet another example of lies and propaganda.<\/p>\n
