French Parliament Vice President Cl\u00e9mence Goette announced that she had submitted a proposal for France’s planned withdrawal from NATO, citing the policies of US President Donald Trump.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She wrote<\/a> about this in X.<\/p>\n

According to Goette, the issue of France’s participation in the North Atlantic Alliance, which she described as a military alliance led by and effectively subordinate to the United States, is becoming increasingly pressing. She did not mention that her initiative envisions France’s withdrawal from NATO, beginning with the integrated military command.<\/p>\n

Among the examples of US policy, she cited actions in Venezuela, including the kidnapping of the country’s leader, Nicol\u00e1s Maduro, statements by Donald Trump about the possible annexation of Greenland, which is an autonomous territory within Denmark, as well as support for what she called genocide in Palestine.<\/p>\n

Goette emphasized that, in her opinion, the United States under Trump’s presidency is bombing other nations, grossly violating international law.<\/p>\n

Earlier, US President Donald Trump reaffirmed<\/a> Greenland’s strategic importance to US security. He stated that the island plays a key role in countering Russia and China’s growing activity in the Arctic.<\/p>\n

Incidentally, the US has stepped up its intelligence gathering efforts on Greenland<\/a> , using the American spy apparatus, which indicates that Trump is serious about acquiring the island in Denmark.<\/p>\n

Earlier, it was reported that US President Donald Trump’s long-standing goal of annexing Greenland has moved from rhetoric to official policy, as the White House began implementing a formal plan to acquire the Arctic island from Denmark<\/a> .<\/p>\n

As a reminder, last December, US President Donald Trump stated that the US should establish control over Greenland<\/a> , which is currently Danish territory.<\/p>\n

Trump also expressed confidence that the United States would be able to gain control of Greenland. He said the island’s approximately 57,000 residents aspire to become part of the United States<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Greenland’s government has reportedly called a general election amid US President Donald Trump’s renewed interest<\/a> in the island.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Trump administration is exploring the possibility of Greenland becoming part of the United States, even acknowledging the potential use of military force<\/a> . “We will get Greenland. Yes, 100%,” the US president stated<\/a> , commenting on the possibility of annexing the island.<\/p>\n
