The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Ukrainian citizens were on board the Marinera oil tanker seized by the United States.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was told<\/span><\/a> to \u201cEuropean Truth\u201d by the embassy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States is in constant contact with the competent American authorities regarding this matter.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, diplomats informed the State Department of the need to provide consular access to Ukrainians who were members of the crew.<\/span><\/p>\n

As noted, further steps will be determined after all circumstances are established, and now the embassy is trying to establish contact with Ukrainian citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n

The White House previously reported that the United States plans to prosecute the crew of an oil tanker<\/a> seized by the US Coast Guard, including Russians.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the United States of America conducted an operation to seize the oil tanker Mariner<\/a> , bound for Venezuela and flying the Russian flag.<\/p>\n

Later, Russia reacted to the seizure by the United States of an oil tanker<\/a> flying the Russian flag – the Foreign Ministry demanded that the American side treat the Russians on board humanely.<\/p>\n

As it became known, the United States is ready to release two Russian citizens<\/a> who were members of the crew of an oil tanker seized by the American Coast Guard.<\/p>\n
