On Sunday, January 11, Ukraine is expected to experience cold winter weather with severe frosts at night, snow in the western regions, and gusty winds in the east and northeast of the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by meteorologist<\/a> Natalia Didenko.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to the forecast, temperatures in most regions on Sunday night will range from -7 to -14\u00b0C. In the north, temperatures will drop to -14 to -18\u00b0C in places, while in the eastern and southeastern regions, temperatures will be significantly warmer, ranging from 0 to +3\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

During the day on January 11, temperatures are expected to fall to -5\u00b0C to -12\u00b0C in most regions. In the east, temperatures will rise to 0\u00b0C to +5\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

Snow is forecast for the western regions. Snow, sleet, and occasional rain are possible in the east and southeast due to the influence of a southern cyclone. No significant precipitation is expected elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Winds will prevail from the north and northwest. In the western regions, they will be gusty and, along with snow, will cause blizzards. In the east and northeast, forecasters are warning of strong winds with gusts up to 15\u201320 m\/s. In other areas, winds will be moderate.<\/p>\n

Icy conditions will persist in many regions, particularly in the southeast and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Magnetic storms are also likely to intensify overnight and into the morning.<\/p>\n

No significant precipitation is expected in Kyiv on January 11, but icy conditions and severe frost are forecast. Overnight temperatures will be around -16\u00b0C, and in clear skies, they could drop to -18\u00b0C. Daytime temperatures in the capital will be -10 to -12\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

According to Natalia Didenko, freezing temperatures in Ukraine will persist for several more days. Meanwhile, preliminary forecasts indicate a warming trend starting on January 15, with a possible thaw in many regions during the day on January 16-17. However, forecasters are not emphasizing that this warming will be temporary and will be further clarified. <\/p>\n
