The driver of a Range Rover SUV attempted to break through the fence at the Ukrainian-Romanian border to smuggle six people into Romania. While attempting to escape, he collided with a border guard, who sustained serious injuries. The victim underwent surgery, and his life is not yet in danger.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The State Tax Service of Ukraine reported<\/a> this.<\/p>\n

The patrol discovered a foreign-registered vehicle heading toward the border. The driver ignored a request to stop and made a dangerous maneuver toward border guards, attempting to overcome the fortifications and leave Ukraine.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

During the maneuver, the instructor injured a State Border Service member, causing serious bodily harm. The border guard was hospitalized and underwent surgery.<\/p>\n

Border guards and police subsequently discovered an abandoned Range Rover on the outskirts of a village. Six people in the vehicle were detained while attempting to breach the border. The search for the driver is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\t
