Russian troops have begun using a new unmanned aerial vehicle, the Geran-5, at the front, which has structural similarities to Iranian developments.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Co-chair of the public initiative “Right Cause” Dmytro Snegirev noted<\/a> on the air of “Pryamoy” that this drone is currently undergoing testing and is not yet being mass-produced, despite statements about increasing the pace of production.<\/p>\n

“The main constructive surprise is that it can be equipped with the R-73 missile. This is an air-to-air missile just at the moment of possible counteraction to Ukrainian aviation. This is a rather serious challenge for Ukrainian aviation,” the military-political analyst said.<\/p>\n
