The practice of appointing people loyal to the government to high positions with large salaries has become systematic in Ukraine in recent years. In addition to the recent cases of booking bloggers Ivanov and Petrov, one can also recall previous high-profile appointments, in particular, Serhiy Leshchenko to the supervisory board of Ukrzaliznytsia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Economic and political expert Pavlo Rozenko expressed his belief<\/a> on the air of “Pryamoy” that a similar approach to staffing in state-owned companies has been observed for over six years and undermines trust in institutions.<\/p>\n

“We remember how Serhiy Leshchenko, in particular, was appointed to the supervisory board of Ukrzaliznytsia. And what has this person been doing for six years? He is actually working as the same propagandist of the authorities, but at the same time receiving huge funds, it seems, half a million hryvnias a month,” Rozenko recalled.<\/p>\n

In addition, he mentioned the former deputy head of the President’s Office, Rostislav Shurma. Despite being abroad, such individuals continued to receive payments or work remotely, the studio guest emphasizes.<\/p>\n
