President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting on emergency circumstances in the energy sector, following which he made<\/a> several important statements.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to him, an emergency regime will be introduced in Ukraine’s energy sector. A headquarters will also be formed to coordinate the situation in Kyiv, which will operate continuously.<\/span><\/p>\n

The First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy will lead the work to support people and communities and resolve practical issues.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, Zelensky instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to review the rules for curfew. For a certain period of time – as long as the emergency situation lasts – it may be canceled in some cities and communities. However, an important condition is that the security situation in those settlements allows for the implementation of such a decision.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cPeople should have maximum opportunities to use support points, and businesses should have opportunities to plan work based on the situation in the energy system,\u201d the president explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among other things, the Ministry of Education and Science and local authorities are expected to submit proposals on the formats of the educational process during the emergency. This is likely to include the transition of educational institutions to distance learning.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that the situation in the capital remains difficult<\/a> – this is the first time such a scale has been observed since the beginning of the Russian invasion.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Ministry of Energy reported that the most difficult situation with energy supply remains in Kyiv and the region<\/a> . Hourly power outage schedules are not in effect.<\/p>\n
