The United States may strike Iran in the near future, but Tehran has declared its readiness to attack in response.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The US is currently withdrawing some troops from major military bases in the Middle East. The UK is also relocating personnel from an air base in Qatar.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAll signals indicate that a US attack is imminent, but that\u2019s how this administration is behaving to keep everyone on alert. Unpredictability is part of the strategy,\u201d a Western military official told the news agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two European officials said the US intervention could happen within the next 24 hours. An Israeli official shared the same view, but the timing and scope remain unclear.<\/span><\/p>\n

As noted, US President Donald Trump previously promised to help Iranian protesters, but this ended with statements.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tehran has now appealed to American allies in the region to prevent a US attack.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTehran has informed countries in the region, from Saudi Arabia and the UAE to Turkey, that American bases in these countries will be attacked (if the US strikes \u2014 ed.),\u201d the official noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trump previously expressed support for Iranians participating in the protests<\/a> and stressed that aid for them was on the way.<\/p>\n
