In Zaporizhia, they plan to build the first underground kindergartens in Ukraine, and they plan to open them this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported by<\/span><\/a> the publication Akcent.zp.ua.<\/span><\/p>\n

As noted, such institutions will perform two functions at once – educational and protective. The underground kindergartens will be used as shelter during Russian attacks.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is expected that the first preschools will appear in the city as early as September 2026. Currently, preparations are underway to announce a tender for their construction.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to kindergartens, Zaporizhia plans to build underground hospitals, administrative buildings, and electrical substations.<\/span><\/p>\n

The head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, emphasized that new projects and reconstructions of existing structures are currently being considered taking into account security conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lithuania previously announced plans to build underground school shelters in six regions of Ukraine<\/a> : Mykolaiv, Odessa, Zaporizhia, Sumy, Chernihiv, and, probably, Kharkiv.<\/p>\n
