A defensive operation by the Defense Forces of Ukraine is underway in the Pokrovskaya agglomeration.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the 7th Airborne Assault Corps.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of December, as a result of active assault operations, the Russian operational reserve, in particular the units of the 76th Pskov Airborne Assault Division, have suffered significant losses. This is forcing the enemy to transfer additional units to support the offensive potential. According to available information, Russia plans to replenish the losses in the Pokrovsky direction in several stages until the end of January.<\/p>\n

In total, over the past week, the Ukrainian military eliminated and wounded 370 occupiers. The Defense Forces also destroyed and damaged 86 units of automobile and motorcycle transport, 20 guns and self-propelled artillery installations, and destroyed and downed almost 1,400 attack drones.<\/p>\n

In Pokrovsk, Ukrainian units are holding back the enemy, who are trying in small groups to penetrate the northern part of the city, above the railway, and gain a foothold. Thanks to the counterattacks of the Defense Forces, the enemy is unable to accumulate sufficient forces in the area of the industrial zone in the north-west of the city.<\/p>\n

As a result, Russian troops are unable to conduct open direct assaults on Grishinoye, which remains one of the enemy’s priority targets in the Pokrovskaya agglomeration. Instead, the occupiers continue to operate in small infantry groups, trying to advance through forest belts and approach the settlement from the south.<\/p>\n

In Myrnograd, the Defense Forces are holding back the enemy in the northern part of the city. At the same time, over the past week, an accumulation of enemy equipment has been recorded in the Novogrodivka area, south of Myrnograd. In the future, the enemy plans to use these forces to continue assault operations, in particular in the upper part of the city.<\/p>\n

The defense forces are working on the timely detection and destruction of this equipment.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that in 2025, the Alpha Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine inflicted losses on key elements of Russia’s echeloned air defense system, destroying and disabling air defense assets.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, stated that Russian troops are intensifying attempts to break through the defense of Ukrainian units in the Pokrov direction in the Donetsk region.<\/a><\/p>\n
