The number of people injured as a result of massive Russian shelling of Kharkiv on the night of January 24 has risen to 31.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military District, Oleg Sinegubov.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to authorities, the attack began around midnight and lasted nearly two and a half hours. Russian troops launched a series of strikes against the city, damaging civilian infrastructure.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

One of the enemy strikes hit a dormitory housing internally displaced persons, causing injuries. Private homes and apartment buildings were also damaged by the shelling.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Health also reported damage to the maternity ward of one of the city hospitals. At the time of the strike, 29 women and five children were inside the building, but according to official reports, none of them were injured.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Kharkiv on the night of January 24.<\/a> The strikes injured 19 people, including a child. <\/p>\n

Also on the night of January 24, Russian troops attacked<\/a> Kyiv with drones. As of this morning, one person was killed and four were injured.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that the Cabinet of Ministers introduced additional support programs for small and medium-sized businesses in the context of the energy emergency caused by Russian shelling.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, energy, utilities, and transport infrastructure workers involved in emergency recovery efforts will receive an additional 20,000 hryvnias in salary from the state.<\/a> <\/p>\n
