The Ukrainian army is adapting to the realities of modern warfare by actively implementing the latest technologies and decentralizing combat command.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi made this statement during the Strategic Dialogue at the NATO Military Committee meeting at the level of Supreme Commanders. He announced his remarks on January 24, 2026, on Facebook.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to Syrsky, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are changing their very philosophy of engaging the enemy. Instead of massive area fire, the Ukrainian army is shifting to the pinpoint destruction of targets using cheap but effective means.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“We’re changing our philosophy of engagement: instead of massive area fire, we’re moving to pinpointing targets with inexpensive means. A drone costs around $500, while a destroyed target costs millions,” the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces emphasized.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He emphasized the key role of electronic warfare in modern warfare. Without an advantage, or even parity, in electronic warfare, high-tech weapons lose their effectiveness. In this regard, according to Syrsky, the Ukrainian military has learned to create so-called “electronic warfare domes” to protect equipment, as well as trench-mounted electronic warfare systems for infantry.<\/p>\n

Oleksandr Syrsky noted that the technological advancement of the military has already yielded tangible results. Specifically, over the past year, overall losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been reduced by 13 percent compared to 2024 levels.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Oleksandr Syrsky stated that in 2026, Ukraine plans<\/a> to conduct offensive operations alongside strategic defense. The goal of such actions is to maintain the operational initiative and force the enemy to expend resources.<\/p>\n

Incidentally, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed hope that the war unleashed by Russia will end in 2026<\/a> .<\/p>\n

As a reminder, US Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff estimates that significant progress has been made in resolving the war in Ukraine following the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in France<\/a> .<\/p>\n

As is known, the draft communiqu\u00e9 of the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing noted that the United States will help ensure a ceasefire in Ukraine<\/a> through intelligence and logistics.<\/p>\n
