The Kremlin said that the trilateral talks on Ukraine will continue next week, but the exact date has not yet been determined. According to Dmitry Peskov, one should not expect quick agreements, as the agenda includes fundamental issues.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by Russian media.<\/p>\n

The Kremlin reported that Vladimir Putin is in constant contact with Russian negotiators.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe continuation of the negotiations in Abu Dhabi is scheduled for next week, there is no exact date yet,\u201d Dmitry Peskov said.<\/p>\n

The Kremlin positively assesses the very fact of the beginning of “constructive” contacts, but emphasizes that Moscow considers it wrong to publicly discuss individual provisions of the negotiations.<\/p>\n

“We should not talk about individual provisions of the negotiation process regarding Ukraine, as this does not correspond to the real state of affairs,” Peskov said.<\/p>\n

He also stated that it would be a mistake to count on high results from trilateral contacts, as a long and complex process lies ahead.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would be a mistake to count on any high effectiveness of the first contacts,\u201d Peskov added.<\/p>\n

At the same time, he admitted that it is difficult to talk about friendliness in negotiations, but if the process continues, the parties should try to achieve results.<\/p>\n

\u201cFriendliness is hardly possible in negotiations regarding Ukraine, but if they are going ahead, then we need to try to achieve something,\u201d Peskov said.<\/p>\n

The Kremlin also emphasized that Russia will not publicly discuss individual provisions of the negotiation agenda regarding Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Peskov separately noted that the so-called “Anchorage formula” contains elements that are of fundamental importance to Russia, in particular the territorial issue, which the Russian side continues to defend.<\/p>\n

The Kremlin also reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin currently has no scheduled phone conversation with US President Donald Trump on his schedule.
