Germany has almost exhausted its capabilities to support Ukraine’s air defense, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said on January 26 in Berlin after a meeting with his Lithuanian counterpart Robertas Kaunas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Pistorius, Germany has already provided Ukraine with disproportionate assistance in the field of air defense: the country has supplied more than a third of its existing Patriot missile systems and is also transferring IRIS-T systems.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Minister of Defense noted that this is still not enough due to the intensification of Russian attacks, and called on allies to increase support for Ukraine.<\/p>\n

“It would be good if one or two other countries could find and provide something else to support Ukraine!”, Pistorius emphasized.<\/p>\n

Recall that in December 2025, Germany transferred to Ukraine two Patriot air defense systems<\/a> , which were promised back in August, as well as the ninth IRIS-T system.<\/p>\n

As reported, Ukraine is strengthening cooperation with Germany – new agreements worth more than 1.2 billion euros have been signed with partners.<\/a><\/p>\n
