In Kyiv, law enforcement officers reported a suspicion on a resident of the Desnyanskyi district, whom the investigation believes to be involved in torture and systematic domestic violence against her 9-year-old son.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the National Police of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The police received a report from the principal of an educational institution in Lisovoye Massiv, who reported the beating of a student by his own mother.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the 36-year-old woman used cruel “upbringing” methods on the child. For unintentional actions, she locked the boy in the toilet, where he was forced to sleep, restricted his free movement, and forced him to eat stale bread.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In addition, the woman systematically beat her son with her hands, a belt, and a charger cord, tied the child up, and trapped her fingers in doors.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Police officers, together with social workers, removed the boy from his family. Currently, his life and health are not in danger.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Investigators informed the woman of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 126-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – domestic violence, as well as under Part 1 of Article 127 – torture.<\/p>\n

She faces up to six years in prison for her crime.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that law enforcement officers in Mykolaiv detained a couple suspected of attempting to sell their newborn child<\/a> . According to investigators, the parents allegedly agreed to hand over the baby for $10,000.<\/p>\n
