The Russian State Duma has proposed to import-substitute Disneyland by creating an amusement park called “Cheburlandia.” The initiative is positioned as an element of cultural policy and a tool for forming the “correct identity” in children.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Center for Countering Disinformation.<\/p>\n

According to the authors of the idea, the park should use Soviet and Russian characters instead of Western images, which the Kremlin considers “alien”.<\/p>\n

The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasizes that such projects actually become platforms for the ideological indoctrination of children. The Center notes that the line between children’s entertainment and state propaganda in Russia has long been blurred.<\/p>\n

According to the Center for Countering Disinformation, Vladimir Putin already appears in Russian cartoons, and fairy-tale plots are increasingly being used to impose pro-Kremlin narratives from a young age.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, the Russian Federation continues to actively expand its information front \u2014 even despite the reduction in defense spending in the state budget for 2026, propaganda spending will increase by a record 54%.<\/a><\/p>\n
