There is currently no alternative to CHPP-6 in the Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by<\/a> the head of the district administration, Maksym Bakhmatov, in an interview with hromadske.<\/p>\n

According to him, there are no accurate forecasts for the restoration of heat supply yet. However, he did not rule out the worst-case scenario \u2014 a possible complete blackout, for which not only residents of Troyeschyna, but also other districts of the capital should be prepared.<\/p>\n

“And I was also told by “specially trained people” that, it turns out, our CHP has an outdated system of water pumping stations, which consumes 15 megawatts of electricity. And in all these years, no one has upgraded it so that it consumes 10 times less, and all this is real. This is, conditionally, like switching from an old phone to a new one. And there will be no water – that’s it, goodbye. As long as there is water, there is a city. Because, excuse me, the sewage system is three hours, and that’s it, the house is closed,” Bakhmatov emphasized.<\/p>\n

Despite the difficult situation, the issue of evacuating the population is not currently being considered.<\/p>\n

We remind you that in the event of freezing of sewer pipes in the Troyeshchyna district of Kyiv, the authorities plan to install street toilets with pits.<\/a><\/p>\n
