In February, strong Arctic air will bring a new wave of cold to the territory of Ukraine – first, frosts will hit the North and West, and then gradually spread to other regions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported<\/span><\/a> by weather forecaster Ihor Kibalchych in a comment to “Telegraph”.<\/span><\/p>\n

He explained that under the influence of an anticyclone, Arctic air will come to Ukraine from Northeastern Europe. Therefore, the weatherman warned of significant frosts at the beginning of next month.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to him, in the first week of February in most regions, except for the South, thermometers will drop to -20\u00b0C. After that, the cold will gradually recede, but cold weather will persist in the northwestern part of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

As Kibalchych predicts, in Crimea, the Azov Sea, the Far South, and Transcarpathia, the temperature with the minus sign will not last long – in mid-February, heat will be recorded there, and the average daily temperature will be 1\u20132\u00b0C above normal. In the remaining territories, temperatures are expected to be within normal limits, only in the northern and western regions will temperatures be observed 2\u20135\u00b0C below normal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also in February, southern cyclones are expected to intensify in the Mediterranean and Balkan regions, which are likely to pass through Ukraine. As a result, precipitation levels, which will fall as snow at temperatures below 0\u00b0C, will be 10-40% higher than normal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Snow is forecast across the entire territory, except for Transcarpathia and the southern regions. In some places, its thickness will reach 45 centimeters. This will affect the nighttime cold snap.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, the weather forecaster noted that the probability of rain may increase in the second half of February.<\/span><\/p>\n
