From February 1, the payment methods for assistance under the \u201c800+\u201d program for refugees from Ukraine will change in Poland.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported by<\/span><\/a> the Rzeczpospolita publication.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, from the beginning of next month, payments of 800 PLN per child will be suspended, and those Ukrainians who meet the state requirements will be able to resume receiving funds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ukrainian citizens with temporary protection status will have to submit applications to the Social Insurance Administration to resume child benefits.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, not all refugees will be eligible to receive money. Payments will only be confirmed to those who work under an employment contract or agency agreement, are self-employed in business, have sports or doctoral scholarships, or receive unemployment benefits or study on a scholarship.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is emphasized that in order to receive money, it is necessary for the child to attend Polish educational institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

As noted, currently the new rules apply only to Ukrainians, however, from June 1, 2026, the innovations will also affect other foreigners.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier, Polish President Karol Nawrocki signed an updated law on supporting Ukrainian citizens<\/a> after the government made amendments that, according to him, make the document fairer for Poles.<\/p>\n
