Estonia will allocate 400 thousand euros for humanitarian aid to Ukraine amid Russian attacks on energy infrastructure in severe frosts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by<\/a> the Estonian public broadcaster ERR.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As noted in the press service of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the funds will be distributed through the foreign ministry’s strategic partners – humanitarian organizations Mondo, Eesti Pagulasabi, and P\u00e4\u00e4steliit.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The funding will be used to create crisis centers, equip evacuation and transit points, and organize winter emergency aid points for the civilian population.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stressed that Russia is using weather conditions as a tool to pressure Ukraine.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“Putin is using cold and darkness as weapons against the people of Ukraine, and we must not allow this to change the course of the war. Ukrainians are a brave people, but bravery alone will not win the war,” he said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As previously reported, the European Union has allocated an additional 50 million euros to support Ukraine’s energy needs.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, the European Union has allocated the first 10 million euros for the creation of a Special Tribunal for Russia’s crimes against Ukraine.<\/a> <\/p>\n
