The World Bank will help Ukraine restore its power system – the country will receive up to $40 million in grant support. The money will be directed to Ukrenergo to purchase equipment, without which it is difficult to keep the network stable after the shelling.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced by<\/a> Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal.<\/p>\n

This is not about loans, but about a grant from a World Bank trust fund created specifically to support Ukraine. With this money, it is planned to ensure the operation of four special systems that help equalize voltage in power grids and reduce the risk of accidents.<\/p>\n

In fact, this equipment allows the power system to operate more stably, even when it suffers damage, and also makes it possible to increase electricity imports from Europe during difficult periods.<\/p>\n

The World Bank explained that this decision is aimed at supporting Ukraine in the face of constant attacks on energy infrastructure.<\/p>\n
