According to him, Ukraine’s security is directly linked to NATO’s security.

“Your security is our security. Your peace is our peace. And it must be just and lasting,” the Secretary General said.

Rutte reported that through the PURL mechanism, Ukraine has already received most of the missiles coming from allies, in particular for air defense.

“Since last summer, we have provided 75% of all missiles that have gone to the front and 90% of those that protect Ukrainian skies,” he said, adding that NATO is constantly working to accelerate the supply of weapons.

The Secretary General also assured that after a peace agreement is reached, support will not stop, but rather will increase.

“As soon as a peace agreement is reached, armed forces, aircraft in the air and support at sea will immediately appear. NATO is ready to act for years to come,” Rutte stressed.

He separately drew attention to the fact that Russia, despite the diplomatic efforts of Ukraine and its partners, continues to attack Ukrainian cities.

“The latest shelling shows that Russia is not serious about peace,” the Secretary General said, adding that even with the support of China, Iran, and North Korea, the Russian economy is suffering significant losses.

Rutte assured that NATO will continue to pressure Russia and support Ukraine, including through coordination of military assistance, training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and joint production of weapons.

“We are learning innovation in Ukraine, and this cooperation makes us all stronger,” he noted.

Concluding his speech, the NATO Secretary General addressed Ukrainians directly with an emotional message:

“I know that winter is very long, but spring will come. Stay strong. I know that you will stay strong. Glory to Ukraine!”

As a reminder, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte visited Kyiv on February 3, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

As reported, the West and the United States have announced a mechanism for security guarantees for Ukraine in the event of a new Russian invasion.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , Twitter , Telegram , and Instagram.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte spoke in the Verkhovna Rada and declared his unwavering support for Ukraine and emphasized the need for a just and lasting peace.
