Due to the attack by Russian troops on Kyiv’s energy infrastructure, the Darnytsia CHP temporarily stopped operating.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported by<\/span><\/a> the company “Euro-Reconstruction”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, comprehensive technical inspections and measures necessary to restore the facility are being carried out.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe extent of the damage requires phased technological solutions and a thorough inspection of the equipment before further operation of the heating system,\u201d the report says.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company promised to inform about further changes in the company’s work later.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte visited the thermal power plant in Kyiv, which was attacked by the enemy at night.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to<\/span> Shmyhal<\/span><\/a> , the occupation army directed five ballistic missiles at the facility.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe shelling was deliberate. It was when the temperature dropped to -25\u00b0C. This crime must be given due consideration,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Minister emphasized that the Darnytsia CHP suffered significant damage, and its restoration will take a significant period of time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, options for connecting backup heat supply for houses that are in the zone of prolonged outage are being worked out, Shmyhal assured.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is worth noting that Russia has dealt the most powerful blow to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure<\/a> since the beginning of 2026. Electricity generation and distribution facilities were under attack.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Russian troops ignored the request of the United States and violated the agreement<\/a> on a temporary pause in strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities for the fourth day.<\/p>\n
