The cryptocurrency subsequently recovered some of its losses and rose 1.64% to $64,153.24, showing significant fluctuations.

Analysts attribute the decline to investors’ retreat from risky assets amid instability in global stock markets. According to Chris Weston, head of research at brokerage Pepperstone, Bitcoin has been declining since October 2025, which could be either a warning sign or a coincidence. He noted that large positions in the market are currently being reversed very quickly.

Meanwhile, Ether rose 2.4% to $1,891.27 after earlier falling to a 10-month low of $1,751.94.

According to CoinGecko, the global crypto market’s total capitalization has fallen by approximately $2 trillion since the beginning of October, from a peak of $4.379 trillion.
