While the return of the military home was the most emotional outcome of the meeting, the technical part of the talks concerned much more complex mechanisms.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> Political strategist Oleksiy Golobutskyi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YnJSUYQ2lss\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">analyzed<\/a> the results of these meetings on the air of &#8220;Pryamoy&#8221;, noting that behind the official reports about the &#8220;constructive&#8221; lies the preparation for the practical implementation of the ceasefire.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;It is clear that there is benefit from them. As long as this issue is not resolved, any agreements, even 99%, do not mean a final result.<\/p>\n<p> At the same time, after the round of negotiations, the Russian side began to spread through the media demands for the legal consolidation of the status of the occupied territories. Golobutsky believes that such insinuations are a tactic to raise the stakes when real agreements are reaching a dead end.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;Everyone already understands perfectly well that this is impossible. This is not even a matter of our Constitution. This is impossible under the UN Charter. There are a lot of things,&#8221; the political strategist emphasized, commenting on the likelihood of concessions from the West.<\/p>\n<p> Golobutsky explained that Putin cannot simply stop fighting, since all the initial objectives of the invasion have failed. Ukraine has only strengthened its army and militarized itself, which contradicts the Kremlin&#8217;s plans. Now Moscow is trying to bargain not only for land, but also for influence over internal processes, in particular through issues of language and religious organizations.<\/p>\n\t\t<aside class=\"shortcode-also\" data-title=\"Read also\" data-right>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/security-guarantees-from-the-us-how-zelenskyy-is-making-wishful-thinking-a-reality\/\">\u201cSecurity Guarantees\u201d from the US: Zelenskyy Turns Daydreams into Policy<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\n<p> The Russian leadership fears that without these levers, the next round of the conflict will become an inevitable test for the regime itself, and any attempts to impose the &#8220;Kosovo option&#8221; run afoul of international law and the UN Charter, added Oleksiy Golobutsky.<\/p>\n<p> Recall that in Abu Dhabi, Ukraine, the United States and Russia held <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/ye-prosuvannia-vpered-z-iavylys-novi-detali-trystoronnikh-perhovoriv-v-abu-dabi\/\">another round of talks<\/a> on the settlement of the war. The parties have made some progress on procedural issues, but key differences remain. The most controversial issue of the negotiations remains control over the entire Donetsk region, on which the parties have not yet reached an agreed solution.<\/p>\n<p> Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reiterated the Kremlin\u2019s demands for Ukraine to end the war. Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War said the messages signal <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/druha-bilorus-z-prorosiyskym-uriadom-shcho-naspravdi-kreml-vymahaie-dlia-zavershennia-viyny\/\">Moscow\u2019s desire to politically subjugate Ukraine<\/a> .
