A domestic gas cylinder exploded in a private residential building in the village of Sopachiv, Vara district, Rivne region. As a result of the incident, two people were injured and hospitalized.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the press service<\/a> of the State Emergency Service.<\/p>\n

Information about the emergency event was received by the Rescue Service on February 8 at 03:00 during data reconciliation with the officer on duty on the “103” line. The explosion occurred in a private residential building on Shevchenko Street.<\/p>\n

The explosion injured two people and they were hospitalized in the trauma department of the Vara\u0161sk\u00e1 Multidisciplinary Hospital. A woman born in 1976 received second-degree thermal burns to the head, torso, and both upper and lower limbs. A man born in 2009 suffered second-degree thermal burns to both upper and lower limbs, face, and scalp. Doctors assess the condition of the injured as moderate.<\/p>\n

Rescuers stressed the need to follow safety rules when using gas appliances and cylinders. The service noted that regular checks of the technical condition of equipment help prevent such emergencies.<\/p>\n
