On the night of February 9, Russia launched a combined attack on Ukraine using ballistic missiles and strike drones. Air defense forces destroyed or suppressed 116 enemy UAVs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the military, the enemy attacked with 11 Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the territory of the Bryansk region, and also used 149 attack drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas type, and drones of other types.<\/p>\n

The launches were carried out from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo, temporarily occupied Donetsk, as well as from Gvardiyske in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.<\/p>\n

“According to preliminary data, as of 09:30, air defenses shot down or suppressed 116 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and drones of other types,” the department reported.<\/p>\n

The military noted that some of the Iskander-M ballistic missiles were also intercepted, and they did not reach their designated targets.<\/p>\n

According to the Air Force, missile hits and 23 strike drones were recorded at 15 locations. In addition, debris from downed targets was recorded at 6 locations.<\/p>\n

“The attack is ongoing, there are several enemy UAVs in the airspace. Follow safety rules,” the Air Force emphasized. <\/p>\n

It was previously reported that on the night of February 9, Russian forces attacked Odessa with drone strikes<\/a> , killing one man. Two more people were injured, and residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged.<\/p>\n

By the way, in the city of Bogodukhov, Kharkiv region, a woman and a child were killed and three more people were injured as a result of a Russian drone strike<\/a> . The strike occurred in a residential building, which was completely destroyed.<\/p>\n
