The Russian military is targeting civilian railway infrastructure, focusing its attacks on the northern regions – Chernihiv and Sumy regions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was announced by<\/span><\/a> the Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.<\/span><\/p>\n

He emphasized that Russia carried out a series of strikes on the railway in Northern Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, an enemy drone hit a locomotive in Konotop that was supposed to be attached to a passenger train.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not far from Tereshchenska station in Sumy region, the enemy damaged the track, as a result of which train traffic was temporarily restricted during the restoration work.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the Chernihiv region, at the Snovsk station, Russians attacked a diesel train. The fire was quickly extinguished.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among other things, a hostile drone hit a company car that railway workers were using to repair a section of track. One employee was injured in the attack, while others were evacuated. The injured person was taken to the hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Repair work is ongoing everywhere, train traffic is ensured,” Kuleba noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier, “UZ” reported that the Russian army once again struck Ukrainian railway infrastructure<\/a> , damaging a locomotive and a contact network.<\/p>\n
