In Ukraine, they plan to officially allow ignoring work chats during non-working hours, weekends, holidays, during vacations, and outside of the time specified in the contract.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In particular, the new Ukrainian Civil Code introduces the concept of the \u201cright to informational peace,\u201d according to which an employee may not respond to work chats in several cases.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is emphasized that in the event of exercising the right to informational peace, the employer cannot hold him\/her accountable for disciplinary action, worsen working conditions, deprive him\/her of bonuses, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

This right may be violated only in the event of a threat to national security, public order, the need to protect health or prevent accidents, or the risk of harm to the lives of other persons.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThat is, one can immediately conclude that medical workers, emergency responders, police officers, and the armed forces will be exempt from the information peace norm. In addition, the information peace norm may not apply in cases provided for by the treaty,\u201d the material explains.<\/span><\/p>\n
