This may cause short-term fluctuations in space weather and affect people sensitive to magnetic disturbances.

This is reported by solen.info .

Over the past two weeks, the AR4366 active region has produced a series of strong X- and M-class solar flares, including X1, X8.1, X2.8, X1.6, X1.5, X4.2, and M2.7. Despite this, there have been no noticeable impacts on Earth, as most of the coronal mass ejections have passed by our planet.

As of February 9–11, coronagraphs did not record any emissions clearly directed towards Earth, and on February 11, the active region continued to produce M-class flares, located almost beyond the edge of the visible disk. “The actual power could have been higher, but part of the explosion was hidden by the edge of the Sun,” the astronomers report.

As a result, calm space weather is expected on Earth over the next 3–5 days , but increased solar activity leaves the possibility of short-term magnetic field fluctuations and impacts on radio communications and navigation systems.

Experts advise those who are weather-dependent to be careful : follow a sleep schedule, drink enough water, limit the consumption of alcohol, coffee, and strong tea, avoid stress and excessive physical exertion, and people with cardiovascular problems should monitor their blood pressure.

Despite the superstitious date of February 13, the chances of seeing the bright aurora remain minimal, but in northern Ukraine, especially in Polesie, a faint glow above the horizon is possible under clear skies and away from city lights.

The active region AR4366 leaves the visible side of the Sun without serious consequences for Earth, but the current maximum of the solar cycle means that new surprises may appear as early as late February, when this zone returns to the eastern edge of the disk.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , X , Telegram , and Instagram.

Magnetic storms are expected in Ukraine from February 12 to 14, 2026 due to the active solar region AR4366.
