A pilot project for a 5G network was launched in Kharkiv at the initiative of the President of Ukraine and with the participation of the Ministry of Digital Economy. The new communication standard was tested during marriage registration via the “Diya” application.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Affairs<\/a> .<\/p>\n

A pilot project for scaling up 5G was implemented in Kharkiv, which became the third city in Ukraine to introduce the next-generation communication technology. It is noted that the city is located approximately 30 kilometers from the state border.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Digital Affairs reported that the launch of 5G took place on a symbolic day when new technologies were used during marriage registration.<\/p>\n

“We are turning on the future where the enemy is trying to stop life,” the Ministry of Digital Affairs reported.<\/p>\n

The department noted that the first to test the new generation’s communication capabilities were newlyweds who registered their marriage through a state application. <\/p>\n

The ministry emphasized that the implementation of 5G is part of the development of digital services and expanding access to modern technologies in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Recall that in January , a pilot 5G network was launched for the first time in Ukraine in the center of Lviv<\/a> . After testing and approvals from the military, the technology is planned to be scaled up to Borodyanka, Kharkiv, and other cities.<\/p>\n

The day before, the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, had already announced that a 5G pilot project would be launched in Ukraine in two cities within a few weeks<\/a> .<\/p>\n
