The initiative plans to evaluate and repurpose existing real estate for further settlement of displaced persons.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/mindev.gov.ua\/news\/minrozvytku-ta-habitat-for-humanity-zapuskaiut-spilnyi-proiekt-z-vidboru-nerukhomosti-dlia-dostupnoho-ta-sotsialnoho-zhytla\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was reported by<\/a> the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p> The project does not involve the construction of new housing, but the adaptation of existing buildings. Potential objects are planned to be selected from real estate that has not been used or inhabited for a long time.<\/p>\n<p> The list of possible objects includes:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> empty residential buildings owned by communities;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> uninhabited dormitories;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> administrative buildings that are not in use;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> apartments and residential buildings without heirs.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> After a technical inspection, specialists will determine which facilities can be modernized and prepared for the residence of internally displaced persons. The selection will be made taking into account the possibility of creating basic conditions for long-term residence.<\/p>\n<p> In February and March, it is planned to conduct site selection and field inspections of 60\u201370 buildings in pilot regions. These are Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Poltava regions.<\/p>\n<p> Based on the results of the inspections, it is planned to identify 10\u201315 buildings that can be repurposed in the shortest possible time and with minimal costs.
