{"id":1358426,"date":"2026-02-16T15:58:47","date_gmt":"2026-02-16T13:58:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prm.ua\/japan-and-canada-announced-new-aid-to-ukraine-where-will-the-funds-go\/"},"modified":"2026-02-16T15:58:47","modified_gmt":"2026-02-16T13:58:47","slug":"japan-and-canada-announced-new-aid-to-ukraine-where-will-the-funds-go","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/japan-and-canada-announced-new-aid-to-ukraine-where-will-the-funds-go\/","title":{"rendered":"Japan and Canada announced new aid to Ukraine: where will the funds go?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"151\" data-end=\"305\"><strong>Ukraine received $690 million in grant support from Japan and Canada under the Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine mechanism of the G7 countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"307\" data-end=\"355\"> This <a href=\"https:\/\/mof.gov.ua\/uk\/news\/-5590\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was reported<\/a> by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"357\" data-end=\"478\"> The funds will be used to finance priority social expenditures, including the payment of pensions and housing and communal subsidies.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"480\" data-end=\"724\"> The grant was formed from several contributions from international partners. Japan provided $544 million as the first tranche. Canada transferred $146 million as the final contribution.
