Germany announced a shortage of air defense missiles for further transfer to Ukraine and called on other European countries to be more actively involved in supplies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful said that Berlin has effectively exhausted its own stock of air defense missiles that it could transfer to Kyiv. According to him, the shortage arose because Germany had already transferred all available resources to Ukraine.<\/p>\n

He clarified that Patriot systems and missiles for them are mainly produced in the United States, and new batches are immediately sent to support the Ukrainian army.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The minister emphasized that Germany has transferred the maximum possible amount of weapons and is largely financing the supply of air defense equipment to Ukraine.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to Vadeful, other European countries could make a greater contribution because they have their own air defense systems.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Berlin emphasizes that further strengthening of Ukrainian air defense requires broader participation of allies, as Germany’s own capabilities are currently limited.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, on February 12, the United Kingdom announced the provision of additional multi-purpose missiles to Ukraine to strengthen Ukrainian air defense. We are talking about 1,000 units.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, upon his return to Kyiv, reported on the results of the Ukrainian delegation’s participation in international security talks<\/a> . According to him, the partners agreed on new support packages, including the supply of missiles for air defense against ballistic threats. <\/p>\n
