On the evening of February 17, the trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia, which took place in Geneva, Switzerland, concluded.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported by<\/span><\/a> “Suspilne”.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov<\/a> , the parties had a joint part, and then continued their work in groups. The political and military groups worked on the negotiations. The first ended about half an hour earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Thank you to our American partners for the constructive interaction and willingness to work at a working pace,” Umerov wrote.<\/p>\n

The teams are expected to continue their work tomorrow and discuss issues in the political and military blocs.<\/span><\/p>\n

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted<\/a> that negotiators should raise the issue of Russian air strikes on Ukrainian cities.<\/p>\n

“The guys should definitely ask questions about these strikes – questions primarily to the American side, which suggested both us and Russia to refrain from strikes. Ukraine is ready. We don’t need war,” he emphasized.<\/p>\n

Recall that Ukraine plans to hold a separate meeting with representatives of the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and, probably, the United States<\/a> following the results of the trilateral talks in Switzerland.<\/p>\n

In particular, the British and French delegations were at the negotiating site.<\/p>\n

As is known, the Ukrainian negotiating delegation has different approaches to a possible peaceful settlement<\/a> with Russia through US mediation.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that, despite preparations for the talks in Geneva , the parties did not demonstrate a willingness to compromise on<\/a> key issues of ending the war.<\/p>\n
