On Wednesday, February 18, after trilateral talks with the US, representatives of the Ukrainian and Russian delegations held a “closed” meeting.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/span><\/a> to Suspilny<\/span> by Diana Davityan, spokeswoman for the head of the Ukrainian team, Rustem Umerov.<\/span><\/p>\n

This meeting was not previously announced. From the Ukrainian side, Umerov and the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, joined it. On the other hand, the Russians were represented by the head of the Russian delegation, Volodymyr Medinsky.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to “Suspilny”, the “closed” meeting between Ukraine and the Russian Federation lasted about an hour and a half. The topic of the discussions remains unknown.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a comment to Russian propagandists, Medinsky confirmed the meeting with Ukrainian representatives. It took place at the InterContinental Hotel, where the trilateral negotiations lasted for two days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Separately, the head of the President’s Office and a member of the Ukrainian delegation, Kyrylo Budanov,<\/span> called<\/span><\/a> the conversation with the US and Russia “difficult” and announced new meetings in the near future.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, Zelensky reported on progress in the military direction during the trilateral negotiations<\/a> in the Ukraine-US-Russia format on ending the war.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Witkoff said that after the trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia in Geneva , “tremendous progress” was achieved on the issue of a peaceful settlement<\/a> .<\/p>\n

As reported, US President Donald Trump has increased pressure on Ukraine<\/a> to “quickly” reach an agreement with Russia ahead of talks in Geneva.<\/p>\n
