On February 19, the Swedish government approved the 21st package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 12.9 billion kronor, which is about 1.2 billion euros.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by Swedish Defense Minister Poul Jonsson, SVT<\/a> reports. <\/p>\n

According to him, the package will focus resources on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense. Sweden will allocate about 400 million euros for the purchase and transfer of the Tridon Mk2 system – a Swedish-made anti-aircraft missile system that effectively shoots down drones. Ukraine will also receive sensors, robots and anti-aircraft guns.<\/p>\n

The Swedish government will allocate another 524 million euros to support Ukrainian production of long-range missiles and drones.<\/p>\n

More than 280 million euros will be spent on the transfer of grenade launchers from the Swedish army warehouses, the purchase of artillery shells, spare parts, and the training of Ukrainian military personnel. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It was previously reported that Ukraine will soon receive a large batch of AIM missiles to strengthen its air defense.<\/a><\/div>\n
