In Kyiv, a 26-year-old soldier who left his unit without permission attacked a man and a woman with a knife.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the press service of the Kyiv police.<\/p>\n

The Svyatoshyn Police Department received a report from doctors about the hospitalization of two local residents with knife wounds.<\/p>\n

Police officers found out that on one of the streets, an unknown man approached a 28-year-old Kyiv resident in a state of alcohol intoxication and, using obscene language towards him, provoked a conflict. During the argument, the stranger stabbed the man in the neck and fled. The victim was hospitalized in critical condition.<\/p>\n

That same evening, on a nearby street, the attacker approached a 56-year-old Kyiv woman and offered to walk her home. At the entrance, he insisted on staying with her overnight, and when he was refused, he pulled out a knife and slashed the woman’s face. <\/p>\n

Law enforcement officers have already detained the suspect – he turned out to be a 26-year-old local resident and a military serviceman who is stationed in the North-West Frontier Province.<\/p>\n

The investigators informed the detainee of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 15, Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine \u2013 completed attempted premeditated murder, as well as under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine \u2013 intentional grievous bodily harm. The most severe punishment provides for up to fifteen years of imprisonment. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspect.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, in Odessa, a man with a knife attacked employees of the Trade Center<\/a> while they were on duty. The injured person was hospitalized, his condition is stable.<\/p>\n

As reported, in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv, a man attacked servicemen of the territorial recruitment and social support center with a knife during a document check<\/a> . The attacker was reported suspicious, detained, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved.<\/p>\n
