US President Donald Trump<\/span><\/span> said Iran<\/span><\/span> has 10 to 15 days to reach an agreement on its nuclear program. Otherwise, he said, “really bad things could happen.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said<\/a> this during a meeting of his \u201cPeace Council\u201d.<\/p>\n

He noted that he would decide within the next 10 days whether to continue diplomatic negotiations with Tehran or order a military strike. Later, aboard Air Force One, the president clarified to reporters that 10-15 days would be sufficient time to make a decision.<\/p>\n

In response, Tehran appealed to UN Secretary-General Ant\u00f3nio Guterres<\/span><\/span> with a warning that American military installations in the Middle East would become “legitimate targets” in the event of a US attack.<\/p>\n

The day before, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt<\/span><\/span> stated that Iran would be “very wise” to reach an agreement with the United States. She added that Trump continues to hope for a diplomatic solution, even though the American military has increased its presence in the region in recent weeks, including the deployment of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln<\/span><\/span> .<\/p>\n

According to Sky News<\/span><\/span> , the UK<\/span><\/span> has refused to grant the US permission to use British bases for strikes against Iran. Specifically, this concerns the joint British-American base on Diego Garcia and RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, where US strategic bombers are stationed.<\/p>\n

Trump previously stated that the American fleet was approaching the shores of Iran<\/a> . He therefore called on Tehran to immediately begin negotiations on a nuclear agreement.<\/p>\n

As is known, the United States planned for two rounds of diplomatic negotiations on Ukraine and Iran to take place in Geneva<\/a> .<\/p>\n
