Private TV channels, NGOs, businesses are doing the same, so this applies to all of us. This is what we are doing, and we will continue to do it,” she assured.

The minister emphasized that Russia cannot achieve its military goals on the battlefield, so pressure on the aggressor state must increase.

“Tomorrow we enter the 5th year of the war. And there is no more important discussion than today. Decisions must be made, which is why we are fully committed to the 20th package of sanctions – a strong package that will include a ban on maritime services – as well as political, economic and military commitments to support the European values of freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, so that Russia’s war can be ended with a just and lasting peace,” Brazhe said.

She reported that Latvia, as a member of the UN Security Council, will voice its position in the UN Security Council.

The minister also expressed confidence in the possibility of approving a package of sanctions by the 4th anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

“Therefore, we should not allow them to achieve this at the negotiating table. We fully support Ukraine and also believe that Europe should be at the negotiating table, because no one but Europe decides the issue of principles and European values,” Braje stressed.

She added that further military assistance, including more air defense and long-range capabilities, is needed to strengthen Ukraine’s position.

“And that means a vote at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday on the Ukrainian resolution. It also means continuing to deny Russia leadership positions in international organizations and weakening Russia’s economy and its battlefield capabilities. Peace is within reach,” Braje said.

The day before, it became known that the Netherlands will transfer transformers of various capacities to Ukraine and provide financial assistance in the amount of 23 million euros to support the energy sector. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

At the same time, Germany plans to transfer more than 30 mobile thermal power plants to Ukraine in the near future , which will provide electricity and heat for part of the population.

Previously, five countries volunteered to help Ukraine’s energy sector , in particular, three states will transfer equipment, and two more will allocate funds.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , Twitter , Telegram , and Instagram.

Latvia will transfer a full-fledged thermal power plant to Ukraine as part of a new aid package to support energy infrastructure amid Russian strikes.
