Ukraine is preparing to expand sanctions against Alexander Lukashenko and his inner circle.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced by<\/a> the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.<\/p>\n

According to the head of state, the current sanctions are only the first step. The team is currently working on a legal framework to strengthen the sanctions policy. The restrictions will apply not only to Lukashenko himself, but also to his entourage and sons.<\/p>\n

Zelensky stressed that Ukraine is recording the military assistance that Minsk provides to Russia. Kyiv has not yet discussed the issue of Lukashenko with the United States, as it has seen Washington’s attempts to establish a dialogue with him through diplomatic channels. At the same time, Ukraine plans to join this track and convey its position.<\/p>\n

The President emphasized that Belarus is actually contributing to Russian aggression. The Ukrainian side has documented evidence of kamikaze drone launches from the territory of Belarus. After that, Russian troops launched strikes on Ukrainian cities, which resulted in civilian casualties.<\/p>\n

“For us, this is a crime,” Zelensky said, adding that Ukraine is preparing legal solutions regarding these actions.<\/p>\n

The President of Ukraine also noted that Shahed repeaters appeared on the territory of Belarus last year. The Ukrainian side was working to ensure that “three or four” repeaters were no longer operational.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Ukraine has imposed sanctions against dictator Alexander Lukashenko.<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n
