The assessment was carried out as of the end of December 2025, excluding the destruction of January-February 2026.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1045\" data-end=\"1256\"> According to Yulia Svyridenko, in 2025 alone, Russian aggression caused Ukraine $64 billion in losses. The housing sector, transport and logistics infrastructure, and energy suffered the greatest damage.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1258\" data-end=\"1295\"> <strong>$90.6 billion &#8211; for energy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1297\" data-end=\"1505\"> Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the need for restoration and modernization of the energy sector for the next ten years is $90.6 billion. Compared to the previous estimate, this amount has increased by 34%.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1507\" data-end=\"1525\"> Of the total amount: <\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1527\" data-end=\"1736\"><\/p>\n<li data-start=\"1527\" data-end=\"1598\">\n<p data-start=\"1529\" data-end=\"1598\"> $71 billion will be allocated to the restoration and modernization of generation;<\/p>\n<p><\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li data-start=\"1599\" data-end=\"1638\">\n<p data-start=\"1601\" data-end=\"1638\"> 6.4 billion &#8211; for the heating industry;<\/p>\n<p><\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li data-start=\"1639\" data-end=\"1688\">\n<p data-start=\"1641\" data-end=\"1688\"> 5.2 billion &#8211; for gas transportation infrastructure;<\/p>\n<p><\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li data-start=\"1689\" data-end=\"1736\">\n<p data-start=\"1691\" data-end=\"1736\"> 4.6 billion &#8211; for the oil and gas industry and refining.<\/p>\n<p><\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1738\" data-end=\"1817\"> For the rapid restoration of the energy sector, $4.9 billion is needed by 2026.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1819\" data-end=\"1947\"> The government emphasizes that it is not only about restoring what was destroyed, but also about creating a sustainable energy system for decades to come.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1949\" data-end=\"2172\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"> The RDNA5 report provides internationally recognized damage estimates that Ukraine can use for reconstruction planning and in lawsuits against Russia.
