On the morning of February 25, an American boat entered the waters off the northern coast of Cuba and opened fire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported by<\/span><\/a> the BBC.<\/span><\/p>\n

The vessel, registered in Florida, was found near Cayo Falcones, in the central province of Villa Clara.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cuba’s Interior Ministry reported that the coast guard shot dead four people on the boat and injured six others.<\/span><\/p>\n

A statement from the Cuban Embassy in the United States said that when five border guards approached the boat for identification, they opened fire, wounding the Cuban commander.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn the face of current challenges, Cuba reaffirms its determination to defend its territorial waters,\u201d the Cuban diplomatic mission said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recall that Washington is considering the example of Venezuela and the operation to capture Maduro<\/a> as a model of how to put pressure on the Cuban government.<\/p>\n

Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio sharply criticized the Cuban government<\/a> , calling it a “big problem.”<\/p>\n
