On February 26, the Russian occupation army carried out a combined attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in a number of regions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was announced<\/span><\/a> by Deputy Minister of Energy Artem Nekrasov.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result of the shelling, some season tickets in the Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions were cut off.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ministry stressed that energy workers are trying to eliminate the consequences of the attacks as soon as possible. In particular, in regions where the security situation allows, emergency restoration work has already begun.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, consumption restrictions are in place almost throughout Ukraine. Hourly power outages have been introduced for residential consumers, and in some places, emergency power outages. At the same time, power restriction schedules are in place for industry and business.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nekrasov urged consumers to follow updates on the energy situation on the official pages of regional distribution system operators.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recall that the need for restoration and modernization of the energy sector for the next ten years is $90.6 billion<\/a> . Compared to the previous estimate, this amount has increased by 34%.<\/p>\n

As is known, Latvia will transfer a full-fledged thermal power plant to Ukraine<\/a> as part of a new aid package to support energy infrastructure amid Russian strikes.<\/p>\n
