The admission campaign to the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine is underway. Applications for cadet status can be submitted until March 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated<\/a> by the rector of the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine, Andriy Chernyak, in an interview with Ukrinform.<\/p>\n

“We are not just training specialists, but people with core values. Each cadet is a serious investment in the security of the state,” he noted.<\/p>\n

The Academy is the only counterintelligence higher education institution in Ukraine. Cadets have the status of military personnel, study at state expense, and upon graduation receive the rank of officer.<\/p>\n

According to the rector, competition remains high. Last year, it was about 16 people for one place.<\/p>\n

“Our applicant is a Ukrainian who consciously chooses to stay in Ukraine and join its defense,” Chernyak emphasized.<\/p>\n

Candidates undergo a rigorous selection process: background checks, medical examinations, physical standards, psychological testing, and a polygraph. The results of the National Mental Health Test are also taken into account.<\/p>\n

The Academy trains specialists in the programs “State Security”, “National Security”, and “Philology”. The largest competition is for the specialty “State Security”.<\/p>\n

“Our task is to prevent destructive elements from penetrating the state security system,” the rector emphasized.<\/p>\n

It should be added that cadets receive a financial allowance of 10 thousand hryvnias, free accommodation, meals, and medical care.<\/p>\n
